In 1982, with the support of the members of the Dartmouth Police Athletic League, the first Dartmouth Police Honor Guard was formed and stepped off that spring to march in the Newport, RI Police Parade and the Darmouth Memorial Day Parade. It signaled the beginning of a renewed sense of pride shown by the men and women of this department.
Today, the Honor Guard is still growing and changing for the better. Our Color Guard Uniform has changed, but the pride and commitment is always there. It is a glowing testament to our Honor Guard to be invited time and again to compete in parades and functions throughout the state! We are extremely proud of the men and women who have represented us, both past and present.
